NOVA

Nova was one of the most abused dogs in Lebanon. At less than 7 months old, she was shot in the eye and all over her body, she was beaten and hit by a car and had foreign bodies inserted in her back.

Nova underwent several surgeries to her back, needed her eye removed and her leg amputated. Nova was terrified of humans and would shake and flinch every time she was in the same room with a human being. Nova was so broken that we didn’t think that she will ever trust a human in her life.

Nova had a family that fell in love with her and were so committed to make her the happiest dog alive. Nova’s mom came all the way from Minnesota to Lebanon to take her herself and spent 4 days in Lebanon where she met all our dogs. Nova’s mom traveled back to Canada just so she can take another dog with her, after spending the night in Montreal with Nova, they later on took a flight to Winnipeg and from there drove over 6 hours to Minnesota. Nova was welcomed by the whole family and the family dogs Diego and Meeko. Nova felt all this love and within days she wagged her tail for the first time and came out of her shell and discovered what playing is and what love is and now she can’t stop playing and enjoying life.
