Luca was used as a bait dog in Lebanon, where he was tied and shot at over a 100 times with a pellet gun. Luca later on was captured and had his ears and tail cut off

When rescued Luca needed to be hospitalized and upon checking him, it was discovered that he has been suffering for months and parts of his skull were exposed and needed several surgeries to reconstruct his sinuses and face. Luca became the first dog in Lebanon to undergo a surgery called “graft of the temporal muscle fascia lata to reconstruct the frontal and maxillary sinuses”. this surgery was done by dr Roy Hassoun.

After months and months of recovery, Luca got fostered by our awesome friend Zainab and left Lebanon on April 19th 2021 with Marwa Hussein and later on found his forever home via Sophie dog adoption. Luca is now one of the happiest dogs living and has his own Instagram @Luca.le.brave.
